Defendant hands receipt to the inspector and adds: All my fowls bought and money borrowed and every charge that he has made against me have been repaid and he has given me a receipt full to date. He has been my compradore since February 1904. He has been living in No.11, Lu Sing Street ever since I have been in No. 8 Health District and I came on on the 1st of February, 1904, and, if he has not cancelled them out of the books, he has embezzled the money, because there is the receipt full to date - money and bill paid.
The Interpreter (referring to receipt produced by defendant): It is full of provisions. It says a receipt for 47-79 - details of a number of different items - four.
